The red band trailer has been released In our bloodand teases a disturbing psychological mystery wrapped in raw horror.
The story follows director Emily Wyland (Brittany O’Grady) who aims to reunite with her estranged mother through an intimate documentary together with director of photography Danny (EJ Bonilla).
But when her mother suddenly disappears, perhaps falling back into the addictions that destroyed their family, Emily and Danny are forced on a chilling search for answers, uncovering sinister clues that suggest something far more disturbing is at play.
The synopsis reads: “Nothing is as it seems when director Emily Wyland teams with cinematographer Danny to shoot an intimate documentary about reuniting with Emily’s mother after a decade of separation. When her mother suddenly disappears, perhaps succumbing to the addictions that first destroyed her family, Emily and Danny must piece together increasingly sinister clues to find her before it’s too late.”
In our blood it is directed by an Oscar-nominated documentarian Pedro Kos (Rebel hearts, guide me home) in his first narrative feature film and written by Mallory Westfall.
The cast of the film also includes Alanna Ubach, Krisha Fairchild, Leone Marchi, White ComparativeAND Steven Klein. With its disturbing tone and gripping performances, it looks like a must-see film for fans of elevated horror.
