Hocus Pocus 2 it was a lot of fun for fans of the original film. It welcomed back the Sanderson sisters, played by returning actresses Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica ParkerAND Kathy Najimyas well as Douglas Jonesback in the role of zombie Billy Butcherson from the first film.
But some fans wondered if we would get to see the other main actors from the first film, Dani, the young girl played Thora Birchhis older brother Max, played by Omri Katzor his love interest Allison, played by Vinessa Shaw.
They ultimately didn’t return, but Birch recently expressed his interest in returning to the franchise ahead of the highly anticipated third film.
The actress told Entertainment Tonight on a red carpet that she would be interested in following up on her character and seeing where she has gotten to since the events of that Halloween night decades ago.
“Yes, I’d love to know what they think about how Dani ended up. I’m very open to the idea,” Birch revealed. “They love to talk about these things, so we’ll see.”
I think it would be great to see her, and Max and Allison return too! Last week, Bette Midler revealed that she had read the script for Hocus Pocus 3and said “most of it has been great,” so next steps are being taken. Stay tuned for updates on the sequel as it progresses.
