Velesova night is the day when nature falls asleep. It is believed that the world went to rest on October 31 and will remain in the first spring dissolution. In addition, the old Slavs believed that the line between the world and the dead today was erased – Jewish and Navi. When autumn goes to winter, Belobog transfers the collar of the year to his brother Chernobog, thus clarifying the souls that the road is open. The transition between the worlds is to be protected by the protective saint of Vorozhaba and by the god-personless veles.

Traditions

On the Night of Velesov, it was accepted to have a circle and light candles to protect the family against evil spirits. Thus, the bad souls did not enter the house in the threshold and the window thresholds left the mountain ash branches and a fire was raised in the garden.

It was also accepted to celebrate with your loved ones, because they waited for a meeting with the souls of the deceased relatives today. Make sure you covered a magnificent feast and an extra plate was placed for the ancestors separated.

The old Slavs, who believed in the existence of a cake, left him an offer – food and drinks. In the morning, food remains were fed to birds or homeless animals to attract good luck home.

What can be done

To get rid of negativity, organize a general cleaning using salt.

Remember relatives and friends.

Organize rituals and guess. For example, the old Slavs were sure whether they would make a desire and put an apple on the night of October 31 – November 1st.

They made rituals to attract the riches to their lives. Here is one of them. Put the coins in a bowl of water, add some honey or sugar. We burn a white candle and imagine how monetary energy fill the room. We read the confirmation: “I thank the universe for abundance and well.” And leave the coins in the bowl all night and then transfer them to a wallet or another hidden place.

What cannot be done

Leave the house at night. In Velesov, it was believed that all roads were going wrong and brought to a dangerous place.

Make new acquaintances. The old Slavs believed that everyone who came to life on October 31 would bring failures and bad news. In addition, they claimed that foreigners came from the afterlife.

Invite people who don’t know. Velesov was believed to throw a bad soul into the house with a bond of a stranger, as it was accepted to celebrate the family with a family.

Turn off the light. Yes, lying in the full darkness of October 31 was forbidden. Light helped to defend itself from bad souls.

If you shift the Slavic Halloween, we recommend that you learn how to strengthen the positive energy in the house and learn to build a personal life with the help of rituals.
