James Haven and Romy Imbelli, formerly known as Romy Klinger, were married on Aug. 12, 2024, according to court documents. Romy filed for annulment on August 27, 2024, citing fraud. He stated the date of separation – August 26, 2024 – in the document.
In the statement, Romy noted that she did not have children and did not request any financial support from James. She also requested the return of her former name, Romy Marie Imbelli.
On September 20, 2024, acting without a lawyer, James also filed a countersuit demanding the dissolution of the marriage. Their documents show the same wedding and separation dates. James filed a lawsuit asking the court to annul the marriage on the grounds of “fraud.” He also stated that they have no joint assets or debts that need to be resolved.
In October 2024, James and Romy exchanged financial documents as part of their divorce, which included a list of their income and assets. However, there has been no progress on the issue since October 21, 2024. It is still classified as “active” on the court record and the parties have not yet filed for annulment.
Romy told In Touch that her lawyers are handling the annulment and any misunderstandings between them are in the past.
