According to RIA Novosti, Lerchek’s property was seized as part of a criminal case regarding the withdrawal of 250 million rubles from Russia.

According to the statement, the arrest was imposed on the blogger’s funds and will remain in effect during the preliminary investigation and trial.
“The decision of the Moscow Troitsky District Court accepted the investigator’s request for the seizure of the property of the defendant Valeria Valerievna Chekalina – funds for the entire period of the preliminary investigation and the trial,” the statement said.
On October 4, Valery Chekalin (real name of the blogger Note ed.), ex-husband Artem Chekalin and their business partner Roman Vishnyak were sent to house arrest. The investigation alleges that more than 250 million rubles were withdrawn from the country using fake documents. They were charged under points “a” and “b” of part 3 of article 193.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
