Scientists do not give up attempts to revive the giants of antiquity and have set themselves a specific goal. Researchers plan to bring mammoths and the dodo back to earth within three years.

Colossal Biosciences Inc. is using DNA and genomics to resurrect the dodo, Tasmanian tiger and woolly mammoth. The company is taking firm steps towards producing a woolly mammoth born from a surrogate elephant mother by the end of 2028.

“Once we have the correct genomes, we will start working. “Work is ongoing to insert mammoth genes into the DNA of Asian elephants,” Ben Lamm, co-founder and CEO of Colossal Biosciences Inc., said in an interview with Bloomberg.
