A Month with Klarstein Marcia: I Switched to Homemade Plant Milk and Have No Regrets

When I received the Marcia Nut milk maker from Klarstein I was skeptical. A month later, my kitchen (and habits) have changed a lot. Here is my unfiltered feedback on this plant-based milk maker.

A colleague told me about it during a press trip. And I collapsed. When I received my Klarstein Marcia I was immediately won over by its elegant and futuristic design. Each item was carefully packaged. It is not a classic machine, it is a mini high-tech culinary assistant.

A Month with Klarstein Marcia: I Switched to Homemade Plant Milk and Have No Regrets

It’s true that the machine is a little bigger than I imagined, but I immediately found the perfect place on my countertop. Its presence also gives a modern and professional side to my kitchen!

Promising first tests

My first attempt with the Klarstein Marcia was a success. I started with a classic: almond milk. Following the instructions (very clear by the way), I obtained a surprisingly creamy almond milk in just a few minutes. Sure, the machine makes a little noise, but that’s the price you pay for such efficiency!

The next few days were a playground as I experimented with different recipes, playing with proportions and soaking times. Each attempt was better than the last, and in less than a week I had plant-based milks that outperformed my favorite store-bought brands.

A festival of flavours to explore

Once I learned how to use almond milk, I let my creativity run wild. Hazelnut milk, oat milk, cashew milk… Each new recipe was a pleasant discovery. My favorite? An absolutely divine pistachio milk, which I would never have dared to try without Klarstein’s Marcia.

But the real surprise came from the soup function. One lazy evening I improvised a vegetable soup directly in the machine. The result was amazing: a creamy, hot and tasty soup in record time.

One of my favorites? Creamy sauces made with cashews or seeds. No more greasy sauces, hello healthy and tasty preparations!

An everyday companion

Over the days, the Klarstein Marcia has integrated perfectly into my routine. The self-cleaning function is a real pleasure: there is no need to scrub the blender endlessly, just a little water and dish soap and the machine cleans itself. A precious time saver!

The 1200ml capacity is usually enough for my daily needs. When I have guests I enjoy preparing different varieties of plant-based milks, and it is always a success!

The eight preset programs and LCD screen make using Marcia very intuitive. But what really won me over was the self-cleaning function. No need to scrub endlessly, the machine cleans itself!

Automatic cleaning: the icing on the cake!

But what made me fall in love with the Klarstein Marcia was its automatic cleaning system. No more hours of scrubbing a stubborn blender or trying to remove nut residue stuck in corners and crevices! With the Marcia, cleaning is a breeze. Just add a little water and the machine will do the work.

In just a few minutes it is clean and ready for the next use. This saves a lot of time and makes the daily use of the device much more pleasant. No more excuses for not making your daily almond milk! This automatic cleaning feature is a key strength for me.

The application: a great advantage

The Klarstein app, although it could still be improved, has proven to be useful. I have found several original recipes there that have inspired my own creations. It is a good starting point for beginners and I look forward to seeing future updates that could make it even more practical.

Some favorite recipes

  • Homemade oat milk: by adding a few drops of amylase once the milk has cooled, I get a taste similar to that of the supermarket.
  • Homemade tofu: with two portions of soy milk and a little nigari I make my own tofu, much better than the one from the supermarket.
  • Creamy sauces: Using cashews or potatoes I get creamy sauces without a drop of oil.

A profitable investment

After a month of use I did my calculations and was pleasantly surprised. Although the initial investment is considerable, I am already saving compared to my usual purchases of vegetable milk. Not to mention the satisfaction of consuming homemade products, without additives and perfectly suited to my tastes.

The ecological advantage is considerable: my recycling bin is much less full than before. And it’s a small gesture for the planet.
