While many fashion brands are struggling in France, such as Camaïeu, Cop.Copine, San Marina, others are growing. This is the case of Balzac Paris. The eco-responsible fashion brand born on the Internet has opened a new store located at 116, rue du Bacin the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood with a very 1970s style. On its website, the description of the place is not lacking in emphasis. “This new setting is a sensory experience and invites ambassadors to live a unique moment by immersing themselves in the very essence of the DNA of Balzac Paris. (…) A work thought out in the smallest details, which draws on local craftsmanship and evokes French know-how with sustainable materials, a discreet luxury with a “tradi-barge” flavour. »
This is the second brand in the capital; a year and a half ago it opened a store called “L’Adresse” at 82 rue de Hauteville (10th arrondissement of Paris).
Who is behind Balzac’s success story?
Balzac Paris was born Chrysoline de Gastines in 2011. Originally, the goal was to create personalized bow ties made in France. The young woman set out with her husband Victorien de Gastines and brother-in-law Charles Fourmaux. But finally, in 2014, the brand repositioned itself on textiles that aim to be increasingly responsible. Since then, the brand has continued to win over new customers. There we find a romantic and urban wardrobe, which easily combines a bohemian blouse with a wide collar under an oversized jumpsuit, with sneakers. Among its bestsellers are the leopard-print Piana trousers, the white Source blouse and of course the César bag, which you can see on every street corner in Paris.
