In April, UFC President Dana White announced Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon. And finally, the fighter himself spoke about it on the X* social network.

Conor responded to Michael Chandler’s tweet: “I spoke to Dana today about our new date and things are looking good! It’s definitely going to happen in 2024.” Meanwhile, the Irishman was supposed to fight Chandler in June this year but it was cancelled. The reason was McGregor’s little finger injury.

Let us remind you that McGregor last entered the Octagon in the summer of 2021. Then he suffered a defeat, losing to the league’s interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier. In the last seconds of the first round, McGregor stumbled and broke the tibia of his left leg.
