Jim Carrey plans to star in the film adaptation of the animated series

Jim Carrey may star in the film adaptation of the cult 1960s animated series The Jetsons. Entertainment Weekly reports.

Colin Trevorrow, known for Jurassic World: Domination, will direct the feature film. Plot details and Kerry’s role are kept secret for now, but it is known that Joe Epstein may be the screenwriter of the film adaptation.

The animated series “The Jetsons” was released in 1962 and told about the life of a family from the future. The film was created by animators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. His works include Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, The Smurfs and The Flintstones.

Meanwhile, in 2022, Jim Carrey talked about his plans to retire, but it was later revealed that the actor will be starring in Dr. Sonic 3. It was learned that he returned to the role of Robotnik. The film premiered in December 2024.
