The first National Internet Content Award will be held in Moscow on June 2

The official ceremony of the first National Internet Content Award will take place on June 2 at the Music Media Dome in Moscow. The award was presented by the Internet Development Institute (IRI) with the support of the Presidential Cultural Initiatives Fund, VK Holding acted as a strategic partner.

Projects published between September 2020 and December 2021 (videos, podcasts, articles, projects in the media and the blogosphere, feature-length and documentary series, films) are eligible for the award, and about 60 of the 383 submissions were awarded. final. Industry leaders can put forward projects: Russian media, content producers, video hosting companies, media conglomerates, blogging agencies – about 100 organizations in total.

The total prize fund of the First National Internet Content Award is 18 million rubles, which will be distributed as follows:

  • The main prize is 3,000,000 (three million) rubles;
  • Prize for each winner in the nominations in the “Best social projects” section – 1,000,000 (one million) rubles;
  • For nominations in the Thematic Nominations section, the prize of each winner is 500,000 (five hundred thousand) rubles;
  • For nominations in the Special Nominations section, the prize for each winner is 500,000 (five hundred thousand) rubles.

Winners will be named in 19 main categories divided into two blocks (“Best social projects” and “Thematic nominations”), as well as several “Special nominations”. In the first two blocks, socially significant projects published on the Internet between September 2020 and December 2021 will be recognized, and awards will be given to projects focused on the current public agenda in special categories.

Award nominations are designed to highlight socially significant and positive content: content about culture, history, volunteering, philanthropy, education and training, content about the achievements of Russian citizens, and patriotic projects.

The project is evaluated by expert groups operating within the IRI: the IRI Competition Committee acts as the Award’s Expert Council, and the functions of the jury are performed by the IRI Producers Council, chaired by Vyacheslav Murugov, Director General of CTC Media.

The selection of projects was carried out in three stages: in the first stage, IRI sent requests to industry leaders, after which the received projects were evaluated by members of the ANO “IRI” Expert Council. They rated the nominees on a 10-point scale, creating a “shortlist” of the award. The results of the competition, which is held in the online mode through the personal account system, will be summarized by the members of the jury.
