“I once asked my mother to play the eldest Ellie. Afterwards we talked a lot about Alzheimer’s disease, we wanted to be completely honest with him. She has been struggling with this disease for the last five years. She is completely crazy now. What we have experienced so far is true madness. After all, at first he experienced everything on the big screen, now he is a part of reality,” said the director.
