Blue Fox Entertainment has released the official American trailer for Omniscient Reader: the prophecyan epic Korean fantasy action film that blurs the line between fiction and reality. This looks like a really good movie!
Directed by Kim Byung-woo (Live terror, take stock), the film is adapted from the hit 2019 web novel by the Korean writing duo known as “singNsong”.
The story follows Kim Dok-ja, played by Ahn Hyo-seopa normal guy who happens to be the only devoted reader of a little-known web novel called Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.
After ten years of reading, the story finally ends and he hates it. Furious, Kim sends an angry letter to the author, calling it “the worst novel ever”. But a few moments later the impossible happens.
The apocalyptic world of the novel suddenly becomes real and its omnipotent hero Yu Jung-hyeok, played by Lee Min-hohe leaves the pages and enters Kim’s life.
Now, as the only person who knows how the story ends, Kim must navigate a dangerous world full of monsters, chaos, and cosmic forces. Teaming up with Jung-hyeok and a group of survivors, Kim seeks to rewrite fate itself and give the story a new ending.
Omniscient Reader: the prophecy combines the energy of a grand adventure with the emotional weight of a survival story. The trailer teases huge battle sequences and dark fantasy imagery. It’s a wild, reality-shattering journey packed with action, drama, and a touch of meta-narrative that fantasy fans might appreciate.
Omniscient Reader: the prophecy will debut direct-to-VOD in the United States starting November 4, 2025, courtesy of Capelight and Blue Fox Entertainment.
