The spinoff of the hit sitcom “The Office” will be called “The Newspaper.” This was reported on the portal of the Writers Guild of America. The shooting of the project will start in July. A while ago, it was learned that the writers of the sequel to The Office were Greg Daniels and Michael Coman, who had previously worked on the series.
They now serve as showrunners and writers at The Newspaper. Daniels and Coman will work on the first season in 2024-2025.
The plot of the new project will focus on documentarians who discover a dying newspaper while looking for new subjects. Its publisher will try to revive the publication with the help of volunteer reporters. The main roles will be played by Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.
