It looks like Marvel is teasing Scarlet Witch’s return in VISIONQUEST with a series of clips

Marvel Studios has generated excitement again, and this time it’s all about Scarlet Witch. Over the past week, the studio’s official social media accounts have been posting clips featuring Wanda Maximoff, which has fans wondering: are they gearing up for Elizabeth Olsenit’s the return VisionQuest?

Although Olsen said earlier this year that he is not part of it Avengers: Judgment Day OR Secret Warsmost fans still believe that she will return as Wanda sooner or later.

Various industry insiders have hinted that she’s back in the mix, though there’s been a lot of back and forth over when exactly that will happen. The timing of Marvel’s recent Scarlet Witch posts seems intentional and with VisionQuest updates fresh out of New York Comic Con, fans are connecting the dots.

During the NYCC, it was revealed VisionQuest will serve as the final chapter in a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued Agata always. Showrunner Terry Matalas confirmed the connection, saying:

“WandaVision is one of my favorite movies ever, I’ve watched it 3 times. So it must be just as good. It ties directly into WandaVision.”

Then, the well-known scooper MTTSH also anticipated that Olsen will return “sooner than you think”.

Meanwhile, Paul Bettany shared what makes VisionQuest such an exciting project for him.

“One of the fun things is that we finally get to see what Vision’s mind is like, and it’s more confusing than you might think.

“He’s clearly saving, copying and pasting [the AIs] to keep them alive in his head. One of them, of course, has to be kept behind a pretty impressive firewall because he’s a psychopath. But he’s smart.”

The “psychopathic” one is almost certainly James Spaderis Ultron, who has been confirmed to appear in both human and robotic forms. But Ultron won’t be the only artificial intelligence presence VisionQuest.

Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek, The 12 Monkeys) recently joined the cast as a human version of EDITH, Tony Stark’s tech who ended up with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) After Avengers: Endgame. Orla Brady (Picard) will play the human form of FRIDAY, and James D’Arcy ihe returned as Edwin Jarvis.

Joining the ensemble is too T’nia Miller (Foundation, The Fall of the House Usher), who will play Jocasta, the “Bride of Ultron”. She’s described as “cunning, powerful, and driven by revenge,” which seems perfect for the series’ AI-driven chaos.

All these pieces seem to be building towards something big, what if VisionQuest it’s really closing the story that started WandaVisionit’s hard to imagine doing it without Wanda herself.
