Fisha accounts are revenge porn accounts

Fisha accounts, created to make revenge porn, grew during the first confinement in 2020. They are created on social networks or on encrypted discussion platforms such as Telegram (the largest channel had 230,000 members at the time in spring 2020) .


On a Fisha account anyone can post photos, videos or rumors of a sexual nature aimed at young women, often minors. All accompanied by their name, age, address or telephone number. And these accounts can be located by region, department, city, neighborhood or school.

Faced with the scale of the phenomenon, the Stop Fisha association was formed in November 2020 to combat it. On his site he advises victims on various actions, starting with keeping evidence such as screenshots, links to accounts, or asking loved ones to do so in case of a possible complaint.

It is also advisable to report these accounts to the social networks on which they exist, and to report it to the Pharos platform if the content is public. For its part, e-Enfance can be reached at 3018 and offers a reporting procedure that allows for the accelerated removal of harmful content.
