A former Miss Bolivia was arrested by the police for arms trafficking.
The suspect, Alondra Mercado Campos, better known to social media followers as Alondra MC (22), was Miss Bolivia Mundo 2020 and Miss Charm Bolivia 2023.
She regularly treats her more than 40,000 Instagram followers with revealing bikini snaps from the beach or in figure-hugging evening gowns at VIP events.
But now she is being held on arms-trafficking charges in Trinidad’s harsh women’s prison in Beni, northeastern Bolivia.
Local media reports that police found significant quantities of weapons and AK-47 assault rifle ammunition in her home.

She is being held on charges of arms trafficking in Trinidad’s harsh women’s prison in Beni, northeastern Bolivia.
According to local media, Campos will remain in custody for 30 days pending her first court appearance.

According to the state prosecutor’s office, forensic tests on her car may also provide evidence of drug crimes.
She reportedly chose to remain silent when she was tried during a court hearing where prosecutors asked that she be kept in prison.
Her partner, known locally as Andrés Vásquez, is currently on the run and wanted for questioning on charges of drug trafficking.
Beni’s ministry’s deputy prosecutor, Geraldo Balderas, said: “The friend is being investigated for drug trafficking and is a fugitive.”
Balderas said videos found on a cell phone seized in Campos show her and her partner at various parties with the illegal weapons confiscated by police.
