Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jafar Jackson, will play the King of Pop in the upcoming biopic Michael, Deadline reported.
Jafar is Michael’s brother and son of Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson. 26-year-old Jafar has been singing and dancing since he was 12, following in the footsteps of his famous family.
GK Films, along with Michael Jackson’s co-producers John Branca and John McClain, will produce the biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua for Lionsgate.
Jafar shared his gratitude for getting the role on his social media3 and shared a black and white photo of him dressed as his deceased celebrity relative. “I am honored to bring the story of my Uncle Michael to life. To all the fans around the world, see you soon.”
