Jim Carrey leaves Twitter and says goodbye with an animation based on one of his paintings

Jim Carrey, an actor and comedian highly regarded in the film industry for starring in films such as ‘The Truman Show’, ‘The Mask’ and ‘Forget Me!’ among many other projects, he joined the list of celebrities who have decided to leave Twitter after his purchase by Elon Musk. Carrey, who in recent years has dedicated a large part of his life to painting, greeted the social network with a last tweet in which he shares an animated short inspired by his work ‘Crazy old lighthouse keeper’which could be translated as ‘The crazy old lighthouse keeper’.

Carrey, who a few years ago slowed down his work as an actor to focus on his aspect as an artist, For the animation of the short he collaborated with Jimmy Hayward, animator of ‘Toy Story’, ‘Monsters, SA’ and ‘Finding Nemo’, and director of ‘Horton’ and ‘Free Birds’.

In February 2021, the comedian let go of his artistic side, which he used largely as a tool of political protest that reflected his discontent with certain situations in the United States. His most recent projects
