Even if you’re one of those people who believe that Tim Burton stopped being a really cool director over a decade ago, you’ll agree with me that “Wednesday,” his series centered around one of the most memorable characters in ‘The Adams Family’, it is one of the news of the year. And considering the amazing reviews he’s been receiving, well, maybe it’s time to give him another shot.
10 series that Tim Burton could have directed on NOVEMBER 24th
1 “The Monster Family”

Rob Zombie beat it to the punch with a horrible movie, but Tim Burton would have been a fabulous choice to save ‘The Monster Family’. And it is that, from its setting and, above all, in terms of its unforgettable catalog of characters, the successful series released in the sixties has everything to become something like a party for the director of “Ed Wood”.
Two “Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities”

It’s simple: Netflix, if Guillermo del Toro has the right to have his cabinet of curiosities, which turned out to be one of the series of the year, by the way, we want the same for good old Burton. We’re sure she would have done just as well. Or better.

3 “Sandman”

The material may not be one hundred percent Tim Burton, that’s fine, but we like to imagine how the director would have approached a work as complex, violent, dark and perverse as “Sandman”. It is good, it’s not too hard to imagine that it would have been, of course, more satisfying than the recent adaptation that we had.

4 ‘nightmares’

Both the books and the RL Stine series marked an entire generation that enjoyed (enjoyed) the most with each of these terrifying and funny stories in equal doses. Imagining what Tim Burton could do with a universe so full of great characters and stories just gives us a brutal thrill.

5 ‘Carnival’

Look, if you want it doesn’t have to be a remake or a reboot or anything like that, we settle for Tim Burton offering it the closure it has always deserved ‘Carnival’. He would have a great time in this unforgettable universe and we would finally have one of the most painfully pending results in the history of television. All happy.

6 ‘Lock key’

Now that it seems like each season is a little worse than the last, all that’s left is to watch the last one, it’s the perfect time for Tim Burton to take the helm of ‘Locke & Key’, the TV adaptation of Joe’s work on Hill. Since it’s a newcomer to Netflix, hey, the same thing is easier.

7 Gotham

It’s Batman. Gotham. The Penguin. The joker. Catwoman. Many people tirelessly ask for the return of Christopher Nolan to the Batman universe, that’s clear, but Tim Burton fans have been doing the same for the longest with the director of ‘Batman Returns’. Let’s go to the queue first, go.

8 ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’

The amazing thing isn’t that he didn’t cover ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’, no, most surprising is that Tim Burton did not direct the starring film version Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep. How come? Because we are talking about a material woven from the director’s artistic dreams.

9 “Dracula”

We’re sure it wouldn’t have been so risky and crazy because Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat are such a thing, but I wish I’d been able to see Tim Burton’s vision of a character as impressive as “Dracula.” Even taking into account the number of adaptations that Bram Stoker’s work, an absolute classic, has, we still don’t lose hope.

10 “Beyond the Garden”

It’s hard to imagine that Tim Burton could improve on a gem the size of ‘Beyond the Garden’, so we’re almost left dreaming an alternate universe where the original idea was created by the director and made using stop-motion technology shape this wonderful story.

After all, We’re talking about a director whose classics come out of his pockets. Pulling from memory, there are at least ten works with his signature placed in the field of the indisputable: ‘Bitelchus’; ‘Batman’; “Batman Returns”; ‘Edward scissor hands’; “Edwood”; “Emptiness asleep”; ‘big fish’; ‘Sweeney Todd, the Devil Barber of Fleet Street’; “Corpse Bride” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Almost nothing.

Having remembered his immense stature on the silver screen, what we set out now is to dream that his talent, personality and sensibility would have a greater presence on television. Because of this, here are ten (wonderful) series that Tim Burton could have directed perfectly. Would they have been even better off if that happened? It’s hard not to say yes when it comes to a great director.
