Just as some rumors and alleged leaks had pointed out on social media for several months, the film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda forever’includes a couple of characters from the LGBT + community who briefly have a kissing scene, which caused the tape to be erased in some countries like China.
This isn’t the first time Marvel Studios’ support for the LGBT + community has been shown, not just for that include openly gay characters in their stories, as in “Eternals”, but also for refusing to censor the scenes as long as the film premiered in countries where this superhero company inclusion policy is not shared.

In the movie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ there is a brief moment that lasts no more than 10 seconds in which the warriors Dora Milaje, Ayo and Aneka share a kiss which goes almost unnoticed and which is not even on the lips but on the forehead, but still makes it clear that both have a more intimate relationship, just like in the comics.

This short scene takes place towards the end, before the credits, where the story has come to an end and the people of Wakanda can rest in peace because the war is over. And the truth is, like Valkyrie in “Thor 4”, it’s not 100% clear that these two women are part of the LGBT + community.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ has little chance of being distributed in China and everything seems to indicate that the Asian country will not have this film in its theaters, due to the LGBT + scene already mentioned, which would result in large monetary losses for Marvel Studios.
LGBT + characters from Marvel Studios
In the comics it is common to see that some of the superheroes are part of the LGBT + community and little by little there Marvel Cinematic Universe He has opened the doors to them, as with Festus, of the Eternals, who is happily married to another man. And there’s also the arrival of América Chávez, who has two moms and is bisexual in the comics, who could be seen in the future of the MCU.
On the other hand, in ‘Thor 4’ it is clarified that both Valkyrie and Korg are part of the LGBT + community and in the ‘WandaVision’ series there is a nod to the future of Wiccan, one of the sons of Wanda Maximoff who in the comics contract the marriage to a man and could be played by “Heartstopper” actor Joe Locke in “Agatha: Coven of Chaos”.
