LUPINE ZERO will be released on HIDIVE this December

HIDIVE is AMC’s brand new streaming service dedicated to anime and live entertainment. The classic Lupine 3 ° anime is currently in service and they are happy to announce a new spin-off series, Lupine Zero, will premiere on December 16. The six-episode series will be set in the 1960s during the Showa era in Japan and will focus on a teenager Lupine III and delve into his untold origins as the world’s greatest thief. Here is the official synopsis:

Lupine III, a bored high school student from Tokyo, becomes interested in a young Daisuke Jigen, a mysterious and massive sharpshooter. Lupine III starts a conversation with Jigen in a nightclub, however during their conversation, Jigen concludes that Lupine III is simply a privileged and naive boy from a wealthy family and wants nothing to do with him. However, while helping nightclub singer Yoko, haunted by the yakuza, Jigen discovers that Lupine III is a descendant of the legendary thief …

The series will bring together the alumni of director Lupine the 3rd Part 5 Daisuke Sakouseries supervisor Ichirou Okouchicharacter designer Asami Taguchiand the Telecom Animation Film animation studio. HIDIVE will host the world premiere screening of Lupine Zero at Anime NYC on November 18th at 6:30 am. Are you excited for this prequel series?
