Zac Efron is back in the gym for a movie. The actor, who recently talked about the problems caused by the hard training and diet he underwent in order to have the “perfect body” for ‘Baywatch: Baywatch’, returns to pick a physically demanding role as pro wrestler Kevin Von Erich in “The Iron Claw”.

A few days ago, a series of photos of the filming in which Efron was seen leaked with more volume than ever to embody the heavyweight world champion. Not only did he try to emulate Von Erich’s physical form, but also how he looks like him with short hair.

‘The Iron Claw’ will not only focus on Kevin Von Erich but will review the entire clan, one of the most prominent families in wrestling which, of course, is marked by controversy and tragedy. Sean Durkin (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”) writes and directs the film for A24, which also stars Jeremy Allen White (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”) as Kerry Von Erich, Harris Dickinson (“The King’s Man: The First Mission”) as David Von Erich and Holt McCallany (“Mindhunter”) in the role of Fritz Von Erich, the patriarch. Lily James and Maura Tierney are also part of the cast.
Due to the script requirements?
Throughout his career we have seen Zac Efron transform his body as required by the script. In ‘Baywatch’ he gained over 4 pounds of muscle with a very low percentage of fat, something that has had rather harsh consequences for him. For ‘Extremely Cruel, Evil and Evil’ he had to lose nearly 6 pounds to put himself in Ted Bundy’s shoes.
