Well, here’s a teaser trailer for an interesting and great looking horror series that I never thought I’d see come from Disney! It is entitled Connectwas made for Disney + and was directed by the legendary Japanese director Takashi Mike (Hearing, Ichi the Assassin, Cemetery of Honor, 13 Assassins, Yakuza Apocalypse, Blade of the Immortal, First Love). I love that he directed this series and it looks great. You’ll see some gnarled footage in this trailer.
The series is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name as Shin Dae-sung, and the story follows a man who is kidnapped and one of his eyes is taken by a gang of organ hunters. His eye ends up being transplanted into the body of a serial killer and now the reluctant donor is seeing terrible things as he witnesses the horrific attacks on the people of Seoul that the killer is attacking.
The synopsis reads: “Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series describes a mysterious story that occurs when a man who has been deprived of a part of his body by organ hunters connects with a person who has received a organ transplant. “
The series is the protagonist Jung Hae-in, Go Kyung-pyoAnd Kim Hye-junand was created by writers Heo-dam And Masaru Nakamura.
This series will premiere at the 2022 Busan Film Festival this fall. The series will then premiere on Disney + starting December 2022. I can’t wait to watch it!
