A few days ago, during the presentation of the film in Venice and TIFF, Brendan Fraser said he had to wear a real prosthesis this could lead him to believe that he was giving birth to a man with that physical structure, to help him in his interpretation: “I got used to using Charlie’s body pretty quickly.”

His performance led Brendan Fraser to be named by critics and experts as the first major Oscar nominee, after the applause received by ‘The Whale’. However, he said that once the prosthetic suit was removed, the sensation was still with him.

“At the same time, once I removed all the apps at the end of the day, I felt an even deeper respect for overweight people, because I could take them off as clothes, wardrobe and makeup, but the challenge of doing it with his own body is not something so immediate. “The Whale” with Brendan Fraser will open in December this year.
