Ariana Grande said she wanted to end her music career before working on the musical “Wicked,” but the role of Glinda changed her creative plans. Only Jared reports.
“The role of Glinda meant a lot to me. She completely changed my attitude towards creativity. When I went to London, I didn’t think I would ever act in films again. That was my secret, but I didn’t think I could do it, you know,” the singer shared.
According to Ariana, while working on the musical, she realized how much confidence and self-belief awoke in her. “Glinda’s confidence and belief in herself, as well as the performance process, awakened in me the strength that I had been missing and needed so much,” the star admitted.
However, after filming, Grande felt like she was missing something and then realized that she wanted to return to her music career. “I felt a real spark, like we were meeting again, like I was inspired, and I thought maybe I was missing something. I felt like I couldn’t have it any other way. It was an inspiring moment and I had to write an album, I had to do it,” Ariana said.
Meanwhile, Ariana Grande had previously announced the first details of the musical “Wicked: For Good”. The movie will be released on November 21, 2025.
