Following the surprise theatrical success of “Daggers in the Back” in 2019, Rian Johnson has signed an exclusive multi-million dollar deal with Netflix to produce new sequels to the (now) mystery saga starring Daniel Craig. The first, ‘Daggers in the back: The mystery of Glass Onion’, arrives on the platform on December 23, after going to the cinema, and after so many waits and expectations, he finally publishes his funny first trailer.
In addition to this first juicy preview, Netflix has released a teaser poster with Craig’s Benoit Blanc as the absolute starhaunted by the shadows of his suspicions on the water.

Before landing on Netflix at the end of the year, the film, also written and directed by Johnson, will make its entrance into the festival circuit with its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and presence at the London Festival. Also, it’s clear that Ted Sarandos’ company is betting a lot on her (with the millionaire she spent, it’s better) and will also give her a premiere in commercial theaters -with a date to be confirmed- before its streaming release.
Although we know that in the case of whodunitThe less you know the story, the better. This is the official synopsis published by Netflixwhere together with the trailer we can get an idea of what we will find in the following: “When billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites his group of colorful friends on the run to his private Greek island, it quickly becomes clear that not everything is perfect in heaven. And when someone is discovered dead, who better than Benoit Blanc?” unravel all the layers of the mystery?.
and what a deal
If the first film had an ensemble cast made up of the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Toni Collette or Christopher Plummer, the director of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ would have been surrounded by. an excellent group of actors, who will give life to the characters around which the new mystery will revolve.
Joining Craig and Norton are Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Leslie Odom Jr, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline and Janelle Monáe. All of them will form an eccentric group of characters, whose names and first details have recently been revealed, in a story that, as Johnson pointed out, and as it happened in the first installment, it will have an important component of social and economic criticism.
