
Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for its upcoming music film set in New York about a singing crocodile Lyle, Lyle, crocodile. The film is based on the book series by Bernard Waberand it looks like a movie that will appeal to children.
In the film, “When the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adjust to his new school and new friends. That all changes when he discovers Lyle, a singing crocodile who loves baths, caviar and great music, who lives in the attic of his new home. The two quickly become friends, but when Lyle’s existence is threatened by the evil neighbor Mr. Grumps, the Primms must team up with Lyle’s charismatic owner, Hector P. Valenti, to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places. and there’s nothing wrong with a great singing crocodile with an even bigger personality.
The movie stars Shawn Mendes as Lyle, singing songs written by the team behind The greatest showman. He joined him Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley, Scoot McNairy, Brett GelmanAnd Rudi Bolton.
Lyle, Lyle, crocodile is co-directed by the directors Will Speck And Josh Gordon (Blades of Glory, The switchAnd Christmas party in the office). The music was written by Benj Pasek And Justin Paul (The greatest showman), with Ari Afsar, Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Mark SonnenblickAnd Joriah Kwamé.
Sony Pictures will release Lyle, Lyle, crocodile in cinemas on October 7, 2022.
