Filming is already underway on “Ironheart”, the Marvel Studios and Disney + series focusing on Riri Williams, Iron Man’s successor at UCM. Dominique Thorne’s character will be presented to the public in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” next November. The series aims to be one of the most ambitious projects of the MCU for the small screen, and from the set come new photos of the most interesting (via Just Jared).

For instance, We finally got a better look at Dominique Thorne in the armor., at least the upper part of the breastplate and the helmet, since in the legs he sports the pants with the balls that later in the visual effects will become the lower part of the armor. It’s a fairly crude and seemingly inflexible design, so it will likely be one of the first versions of the suit.

Here comes the Hood
On the other side we have Anthony Ramos, who has already been seen on the set in Atlanta, Georgia, with the hood of The Hood. This character, who made an appearance in cartoons in 2002, was created by Brian K. Vaughan, Kyle Hotz and Eric Powell, and will be the villain of the series. Parker Robbins, the true identity of The Hood, is a criminal who manages to defeat a demon and steals his suit, which gives him powers such as the ability to become invisible or levitate. He comes to amass a lot of power on the streets of New York.

Riri Williams made her appearance in Marvel comics in 2016. She is a precocious engineering student at MIT, despite being only 15 years old. She alone is able to design armor similar to that of Iron Man, using the materials she steals from the school. Her success reaches the ears of Tony Stark, who sponsors her as a new superhero. Dominique Thorne’s version won’t have that luck, but it looks like it will become one of the most important pieces of Phases 5 and 6 of the franchise. The “Ironheart” series will premiere on Disney + in the fall of 2023 and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will hit theaters on November 11 this year..
