Serena Williams has decided to end her career. The tennis star promised that she would participate in the tournament in New York, but she is not sure if she will win it. Williams knows fans are waiting for her to break Margaret Smith-Court’s record and say something like “Goodbye!” during the prize giving. and that will be her exit from the sport.
“Good fantasy. But I’m not looking for one last, ceremonial moment. I’m terrible at saying goodbye, worst in the world. But know that I am more grateful to you than I can express in words. We’ve had so many wins and so many trophies. And I will miss that version of me, the girl who played tennis. And I will miss you,” Williams wrote in a letter published by Vogue.
