The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles join MAGIC: THE GATHERING in an epic crossover set

The heroes in the half shell are making their way Magic: the gathering! Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello and the rest of the gang are officially teaming up with Wizards of the Coast for a brand new crossover set titled Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The set was revealed during New York Comic Con and will hit tables on March 6, 2026.

This announcement didn’t come as a total surprise to eagle-eyed fans. Wizards had left a mystery slot empty in its 2026 release roadmap during MagicCon: Atlanta, teasing an October 10 reveal. Now, that mystery has emerged from the sewers and is full of nostalgia, pizza, and plenty of shocking mechanics.

The set introduces a pre-constructed Commander deck called Turtle Power!, led by Leonardo, the Balance. Of course the rest of the brothers, along with their wise mentor Splinter, are also part of the deck.

Returning fans will be happy to see the return of the Partner mechanic, which allows players to pair up any two turtle commanders to lead their decks together.

Collectors and art enthusiasts will also get some surprises. The set features multiple new card treatments, starting with gorgeous borderless versions of the four Turtles with original art by Kevin Eastmannthe co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These premium cards include Eastman’s signature stamp and can only be found in English Collector Boosters.

Another unique treat celebrates the entire TMNT legacy with borderless source material cards, showcasing artwork from throughout the franchise’s history. There will be 20 of these cards, available in both Plays and Collector Boosters, although the foil versions are exclusive to Collector Boosters.

And then there’s a series of pizza-themed cards. Six classic Magic cards are getting a TMNT twist, starting with Dark Ritual. Each will feature pizza-inspired artwork and will only be available in a special Pizza Bundle that, in true Turtle fashion, comes in packaging that looks exactly like a real pizza box. Just…don’t try to eat it.

Wizards also previewed a brand new mechanic called Sneak, which appears to work like Ninjutsu, but with a twist. Instead of swapping Ninja creatures, Sneak allows players to “cheat” other spells. Considering this is a set full of ninjas, don’t be surprised if Ninjutsu appears too.

It’s not just the Turtles and Splinter who enter the multiverse. Familiar allies and villains will also join the set, including April O’Neil and a menacing Super Shredder. To top it off, there’s an all-new Turtle Team-Up cooperative experience, allowing up to four players to team up as the four Turtles to battle against a special enemy deck.

Whether you’re a Commander player, a collector, or just a lifelong TMNT fan, it looks like this set will deliver a radical mix of nostalgia, strategy, and pizza-fueled fun.
