Last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con it was revealed that the second saga of the MCU will consist of phases 4-7 and will be called The Multiverse Saga. It will culminate with two Avengers movies, just like Infinity Saga did before, and these movies are to be titled Avengers: the Kang dynasty And Avengers: Secret Wars. Our heroes have fought many evil characters in many movies, but none have been as destructive and hard to beat as Thanos from The Infinity Saga.

The next major obstacle comes in the form of Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. We first saw it at the end of Loki series, and the next will appear Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The actor is kind and endearing in the role, and chair of the MCU Kevin Feige spoke about his magnetism in a recent ComicBook interview, saying:

“It depends on the cast and with Jonathan Majors, who I think took over the Hall H stage, you know, in the three minutes he was up there. It’s great, and I told him there’s no one’s back, I’d rather be putting the multiverse saga above his own. It’s really impressive what Jonathan Majors is able to do and all the different incarnations, variations, if you will, of Kang that we will see him do.

He went on to talk about Kang versus Thanos:

“What I love is that he’s completely different than Thanos. That he’s completely different. Could he be just a bigger purple dude in a helmet? That’s not what Kang is. Kang is a very different type of villain and the fact the fact that he is many, many different characters is what is most exciting and differentiates him the most. “

When Jonathan Majors took the stage at Comic-Con, he was asked if he could say anything about his character’s future and he simply said, “There will be conquest.” Of course he couldn’t say more, but just that sentence and his beaming smile lit up the audience in an exciting way. I can’t wait to see how this saga unfolds and I’m thrilled to see Kang unleashed in the MCU.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
