Hilarious trailer for the DOWNTON ABBEY parody film FACKHAM HALL

Bleecker Street has released the first official trailer for their comedy Fackham Halla parody clearly based on the popular BBC series Downton Abbey.

The cast is solid and inclusive Ben Radcliffe, Thomasin McKenzie, Catherine Waterston, Emma Laird, Tom Felton, Lizzie Hopley, Jimmy Carr, Sue Johnston, Tom Goodman-HillAND Damian Lewis. The film is directed by Jim O’Hanlon (All in the Game, Of Two Minds, 100 Streets, Trying), from a screenplay written by Jimmy Carr, Patrick Carr, Andrew Dawson, Steve DawsonAND Tim Inmann.

The synopsis reads: “Born into aristocracy. Bred for idiocy.” A lovable pickpocket Eric Noone (Radcliffe) moves into the English manor of Fackham Hall. He has a forbidden romance with Rose Davenport (McKenzie) and is then framed for a murder, while Archibald becomes Eric’s rival and vies for Rose’s hand in marriage.

“At the same time, rivalries are brewing in the Davenport family, led by Lord and Lady Davenport (Waterston), as they also deal with the collapse of their eldest daughter’s marriage to her caddish cousin.

Sounds like fun! I love this kind of humor, it’s just ridiculous and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch. Check out the trailer below and watch Fackham Hall in theaters December 5th.
