Akaza did not simply do a first memorable impression, he sculpted his place in the series as one of the most formidable and emotionally loaded bad guys after his brutal clash with Kyojuro Rengoku.
That battle ended in the broken heart, with the death of Rengoku hitting Tanjiro. It is now personal. And the long -awaited revenge of Tanjiro with Akaza promises to be one of the most emotional and intense struggles in the series.
But this time Tanjiro will not be alone.
Giyu, Hashira’s stoica who saved Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado for the first time when their story began, is finally entering the ring next to him. This is the first time that the two will fight really side by side, not as a protector and novice swordsmen, but the same.
Giyu has always been fundamental for Tanjiro’s journey. After discovering Nezuko’s unique link with his brother, he made the call to send them to Urokodaki, setting the whole story by motorbike. While their paths have crossed a few times since then, Tanjiro has never been strong enough to keep up with him. Then Giyu had to bring weight. But things have changed.
