The arch of the cut history of Taskmaster was full of heart, trauma and pins; Here are the details

By now, most fans know that Taskmaster get only a few minutes of Screent in Marvel’s Thunderbolts* Before being killed, but it hasn’t always been like this. In fact, screenwriter Eric Pearson Recently confirmed it Olga KurylenkoOriginally, Antonia Dreykov was to be an important part of the film.

Now we have details to share for his arc of emotional redemption, a new sisterhood with Ghost and Yelena, together with a bad that involves … bachelor.

Scooper @Mytimetoshineh He shared the new details and the Taskmaster clearly play a much bigger role that may have been fun to see playing. It is revealed:

“Antonia presents herself in Oxe level of Oxe in Vault, sent by Val to kill John Walker. Recognizes Yelena from their days of the red room and fights like a car, using her mimicies and reflections to dodge and hit. The team realizes that Val plays them, and when they are trapped in an agent of Antonia Confusions there is a deeper problem with her.”

That deepest problem is his broken memory. Antonia’s background should have immersed itself more deeply for the consequences of the explosion Black widow This let the brain damage, further deformed by years of experimentation. It is explained:

“He opens on his past, an explosion in Nine has combined his brain (the one caused by the black widow) leaving it with irregular memory after years of laboratory experiments. Walker is triggered to be a jerk.

“This vulnerability leds her with Yelena and Ava/Ghost who have her pain. Ava makes a video for Antonia with her who explains things to help her every time she feels lost … they share all the pins (bond moment).”

During the original screenplay, the pins would have been a recurring symbol of trust and camaraderie. From the confessions of the tree of the elevator stretched to chaos on the roof, the candies have sprung up again and again.

“In the Tree of the Escape Alonia elevator, he shares his story, his father’s accident, the laboratory life and the false promises of Val to repair it if he works for her. He connects with Ava on shared trauma.

“After Bucky is an ambush to them the memory of Antonia … it is the only one who is able to free himself and kicks Bucky’s ass in a fight, he is impressed by his mimic skills, until he passes it in cunning. Her story as a control of Val mitigates Bucky, releases the others and joins their plan to stop Val.

“But not before taking a break and sharing some pins.”

Apparently the skittles were part of the original emotional dorsal of the film. In the third act, Antonia should have taken a heroic position, emotionally supporting Walker, fighting the sentinel and showing compassion even when Val deserved any of this.

“In the rendering of the accounts in the attic, Antonia almost kills Val but stops shortly. When Sentry arrives (Bob) he is shocked but fights hard, collaborating with Ava.

“Sentry sweeps them away, throws his weapons to sway Sentry, helping to unleash his doubts about the orders of Val. He does not listen. Antonia runs away with the team.

“The rest is practically the same as the film but with Taskmaster involved.”

And in the end?

“The film ends with the new Avengers who share skittles.”

It is not clear why Marvel has demolished the arch or pins. Perhaps it was cut for the time, or perhaps the managers were wary in making the film exaggerated. Whatever the reason, the fans remain only a shadow of what it could have been: a history of redemption, a new fundamental trio and the most unexpected emotional candies of the MCU.

Would you have liked to see this arc of Taskmaster in the final cut? Or would the skittles be too much?
