As you know, the DC cinematographic universe is in the middle of a great transformation below James Gunn AND Peter SafranWith a new list of projects that will modify the future of the franchise.
One of the next animated series is Star fireAnd it was now confirmed to exist outside the main continuity of the Elseworlds label.
Gunn recently took the threads to clarify the place of the show in the largest DC landscape, responding to a fan with: “Starfire is elseworlds, as well as most of our animated shows in the family”.
This also puts it in the same category as Matt Reeves’ The Batman AND Todd Phillips’ JokerIn the sense that he is free to tell his story without worrying about binding himself to the wider time sequence of the DCU.
For those who are not familiar, Elseworlds is the DC brand for the stories that are distinguished from the main continuity, which offers new interpretations of characters and family worlds. While the label has so far been associated mainly with live-action films, it seems that many of the next animated series will also exist under the Elseworlds banner.
Star fire is one of the three recently announced animated projects “-Skewed”, together with My adventures with green lantern AND Super powers DC. While the character of Teen Titans has often been played as a member of a team, this series will adopt a different approach, focusing on his solo journey through space.
Executive manufacturer Josie Campbell and executive producer Brianne Droughard I’m at the helm, steering Star fire in the cosmos:
“Starfire follows his adventures after using an ancient spaceship he discovers on his planet of Tamaran’s house to escape his planet and explore the stars.”
“Along the way, he will meet the crush on motorcyclists, the fern lover of plants and the magical amethyst princess of Geworld and, together, they will discover the deepest traits of the DC universe, they will save the spatial dolphins, the surf Tecnicolor Nebulas and will increase courageously in the unknown.”
It seems that Starfire will be a wild and cosmic race, full of funny deep cut DC traditions and a lot of interstellar adventure.
