Last week we learned that there is a film being developed that is inspired by the pop punk band Green day entitled New Year REV. Today we learned it McKenna Grace, Fred Arten, Bobby Lee AND Sean Gunn they joined the cast
The film tells the story of three friends, who will be interpreted Tamigi Mason, Kylr CoffmanAND Ryan FoustAnd their trip to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing that their band is opening up for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.
The Logline reads: “Their Roadrip is a turbulent and mischievous trip throughout the country full of adventures, based on the Green Day exploits and their years of life in a tour van”.
The film was written and directed by Lee Kirkand also the stars The office Favor Jenna Fischer AND Angela Kinseynext to Ignacia Diaz-Silverado AND Acute Ruffalo.
Frontman Green Day Billie Joe Armstrong He said in a statement: “Van Days rule. You will guide all night not to sleep, so you will play a show for 10 children in a basement of a friend of a friend of a friend 50 miles east of wherever you have ever heard.
“But you will do it again the next day and the one after. Because you are doing it with your bandmates who become your family and it is different from anything you have ever known. It’s electric. Let music and malice derive from it. “
New Year REV it is produced by Tim Perell by trial; Armstrong of Green Day, Mike Dirnt AND Three cool; and Ryan Kroft for live nation productions.

The film is currently shooting in Oklahoma.
