MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Star Nicholas Galitzine Says Live-Action Movie Will Be ‘Pretty Different’

The new live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe the film has been in development for a long time and is finally moving forward under the direction of Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Magic Sword).

Nicola Galitzine will take on the role of He-Man and recently offered some insights into the film and explained how it will be different from the classic cartoon series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

He told Collider: “Look, what I will say is that our version is different enough from the original animation, which we all agreed was camp in its own right and worked so well for the time.

“But there have been a couple of iterations, obviously since there was the Revelation version of Master of the Universe and the comics themselves. And we treat our script like it’s the Bible, you know.

He added: “But it’s really amazing to hear what this show has meant to a lot of people. It’s been really formative for a lot of people, so it’s exciting to do something that will have a nostalgic element and hopefully attract a bunch of new fans.

There have been reports about what the story of this film will entail and they have fans worried. The film is said to present Adam as a normal man, working a “boring office job” in the “real world”. THE Masters of the Universe the stories are simply tales that Adam heard as a child.

The synopsis reads: “10-year-old Prince Adam crash-landed on Earth aboard a spaceship and was separated from his magical Powersword, his only link to his home on Eternia.

“After tracking him down nearly two decades later, Prince Adam is returned to space to defend his home planet from Skeletor’s evil forces.

“But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam must first uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”

The film is also the protagonist Camila Mendes (Riverdale) as Teela, Alison Brie (Community) as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba (Luther) as Man-At-Arms, while Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049) will play the villain Skeletor.

Then there is Sam C. Wilson in the role of Trap Jaw, Hafthor Björnsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah like Tri-Klops.

The screenplay was written by Chris Butler (ParaNorman) and is based on an earlier draft of David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve TischAND DeVon Franklin they are producing.

I want this Masters of the Universe the movie is supposed to be a great movie, so bad, but these rumored story details are not what I want Masters of the Universe existing film.
