As you know, Nicolas Cage was approached by Marvel Studios to appear as director Shawn Levy’S Deadpool and Wolverinebut in the end it didn’t work. However, it appears there are plans to bring him back for another Marvel movie.
Ryan Reynolds we’ve already talked about trying to bring Cage in Deadpool and Wolverinesaying, “They were in early drafts. We had versions of them [sequence]but then, while everything was shaking, you seemed…
“We are also trying to make the film responsibly. It’s a big budget. It’s the biggest budget of all the Deadpool movies, but you want to give yourself the same constraint, which I think really facilitates asymmetrical thinking and creativity.
“If you have too much time or too much money, this kind of creativity is usually killed. So yes, you’re making things small. But we talked to Nic Cage. We tried to get him, but it was a no… I would have loved him.”
Now, according to Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel has ended up landing Cage for another film. He said: “I can confirm that Nic Cage will reprise his role as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider in an upcoming project. I don’t know which one yet, but there aren’t many options left.”
So, what movies could Ghost Rider appear in? There are the two Avengers films Judgment Day AND Secret Warsbut there’s also talk that Cage might show up Spider-Man 4.
Of course, none of this has been confirmed by Marvel, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Nicolas Cage return to action as Ghost Rider in one of these upcoming films.
