Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Crime 101and it’s full of brilliant tension, fantastic escape energy and a stellar cast.
Set in the sunny expanse of Los Angeles, Crime 101 centers on a mysterious jewel thief, played by Chris Hemsworthwho perfected the art of high-stakes robberies along Highway 101.
When he sets his sights on one last great goal, his path collides with that of an insurance broker played by Halle Berry. The two find themselves drawn into a dangerous alliance that tests loyalty, trust and survival.
As the operation unfolds, Marco Ruffalo steps in as a relentless, fast-approaching detective. With millions at stake and secrets revealed, the film blurs the lines between who is chasing whom. The tension increases as each character is forced to face the consequences of their choices.

The film is based on Don Winslow acclaimed novella of the same name and is directed by Bart Laytonknown for his compelling work on American animals AND The impostor. Layton co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Straughanwhich recently won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay Conclave in 2025.
Crime 101 it feels like the kind of stylish, character-driven thriller that blends intelligent storytelling with big-movie energy. It will be released in theaters on February 13th.
