Netflix has released the trailer for the fifth season of the hit series Emily in Pariswhich features our protagonist, played by Lily Collinsin Rome with its protagonist, Eugenio FranceschiniIt’s Marcello.
Collins and Franceschini star alongside returning cast members The Filipino Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Well done Luca (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert) e Lucien Laviscount (Alfio). Joining the cast for season five is Minnie Driverwho will play Princess Jane, a royal friend of Emily’s boss, Sylvie.
Show creator Darren Star told Netflix when season 5 began production in May: “The cast and crew of Emily in Paris are excited to begin filming season five in the Eternal City. From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can’t wait to share where Emily’s next chapter takes us.” The new season was also filmed in Venice, at the Palazzo Danieli overlooking the lagoon.
Although the fifth season of Emily in Paris begins in Rome (picking up on Emily’s torrid Italian romance with Marcello) Star has assured fans that the series will eventually return to its Parisian roots. “Emily will be present in Rome,” said Star. “That doesn’t mean he won’t be in Paris.”
