On the eve of the release of Kevin Federline’s book about his life with Britney Spears, her first husband Jason Alexander came to the defense of the singer. Although their marriage only lasted 55 hours, Alexander issued a statement on social media expressing his disappointment with Federline’s memoir and accusing her of “missing key points” of the entire story.

Alexander emphasized that Federline, Britney’s husband, should protect her and not watch from the sidelines. “It’s easy now to point fingers and talk about Britney’s struggles as if you were just an innocent bystander. But that’s not what happened. You were her husband. You were supposed to be her protector. Instead, you made fun of her,” he wrote.
According to Alexander, Federline’s book transforms Spears’ personal pain into commercial success. “If you’re going to write a book, at least have the courage to tell the truth about your role. The nights you left. The times you turned your back,” he added. Alexander called on Britney’s ex-husband to take responsibility and noted that the singer “has suffered enough.”
Previously Jason Alexander was known for his unpredictable behavior. At Spears’ wedding to Sam Asghari in 2022, he tried to disrupt the ceremony by filming himself and saying he was “here to ruin the wedding.” Alexander was detained by security and later arrested by the police. The court banned him from approaching or contacting Britney for three years.
Federline’s memoir, released on October 21, has already provoked strong public reaction and comments from Spears’ loved ones. Nicki Minaj also stood by the singer.
