William H. Macy joins Thomas Jane and Armie Hammer in THE CRUCIBLE OF THE WEST FRONTIER

William H. Macy (Fargo) has joined the next western film project Frontier cruciblecurrently in production in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.

Macy joins Thomas Jane AND Armie Hammer in the film, which is described as The hyenas meet Bone Tomahawkand the story is set in the Arizona Territory in the 1870s.

The film will follow “a former soldier (Clohessy) with a tragic past who finds himself forced into an uneasy alliance with three outlaws (led by Jane), a beautiful woman (Stickley) and her wounded husband (Brown), in an attempt to survive to the hostile elements and forces of the western frontier.”

The film is directed by Travis Mills (The Pendragon Cycle) and the story is adapted from the 1961 western novel Stakeout in the desert by Harry Whittington.

The film is also the protagonist Myles Clohessy (The Pendragon Cycle), Eli Marrone (Perform Hide Battle), Eddie Spears (Yellowstone) AND Zane Holtz (Killer hunter), singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen AND Mary Stickley.

I’m curious to see how this movie turns out. This sounds like it could be a really interesting western.
