Despite the fantastic, welcome return of Wesley Snipes as the badass vampire-killing superhero Blade in this summer’s blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverinefans thought it was a one-shot cameo.
Kevin Feige confirmed that the Lama reboot starring Mahershala Ali is still in the works, despite having no release date, but a new rumor claims we haven’t seen the last of Snipes, who said in the Deadpool sequel: “There’s only been one Blade. There will only ever be one Blade.”
Industry scooper MTTSH is now reporting (via CBM) that the original big-screen Daywalker will return, and “sooner than we think.”
If Snipes had reprized the role, a huge Multiversal event would have been nice Avengers: Secret Wars it would seem like the most logical film, so maybe there are plans to bring him back for a previous project? We heard it might be for something in between Judgment Day AND Secret Warsbut for now that’s all we can do.
