Bryan Cranston (Trumbo) AND Lily Gladstone (The Flower Moon Assassins) will star in a new conspiracy action thriller Lone wolf.
The film will follow “a troubled veteran (Gladstone) struggling with addiction who is recruited by a contractor (Cranston) for a secret government plot to assassinate a high-level politician.
“After learning that she is destined to fall, she must use all her skills to outwit the shadow agents and protect her son’s future.”
The film will be directed by Marco Pellington (Arlington Rd) from an original screenplay by Tom Chilcoat.
Yale Productions said in a statement: “We have been looking for the right project to combine our experience into an exciting action-based work for the global market, with the festivals and awards that Christine and Ted are known for.
“Mark Pellington has long been one of our favorite directors, both for his groundbreaking music videos and his powerful films.
“His return to the paranoid thriller genre of Arlington Road and Mothman Prophecies is right for these times. We hope to present it at all the major fall festivals in 2025.”
Pellington added: “We shared Lone Wolf with Yale early on, before any attachments. and they had the idea to make the kind of intense, character-driven thriller that Tom and I want.
“They joined Ted and Christine and made it all happen with Lily and Bryan. You have to love that attitude and “make it happen” spirit.
Producer Christine Vachon said: “We couldn’t ask for a better cast than Lily and Bryan. Each of them is so deeply committed to the roles. Each said “yes!” days after our presentation.”
Producer Ted Hope added: “Thanks to Tom’s script and Mark’s vision, there was none of that ‘hurry up and wait’ that usually plagues the process.”
Gladstone exits Hulu limited series Under the bridgeand its leading role in Apple functionality Fantasy dance. We will next see her in Andrew Ahn’s remake The wedding banquet.
Cranston recently starred in Matthew Vaughn’s film Argyle and lent his voice to Kung Fu Panda 4. He will be the next protagonist Everything will be great.
