We hear that Sidney Prescott’s daughter will play an important role in the story Screams 7AND McKenna Grace (Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire) is reportedly in talks to take on that role.
The news comes from Daniel Richtman, who adds that Grace will play Sidney’s eldest daughter. The film will involve a “major time jump” after the events of the last film. This is how Sidney’s children grew up to the appropriate age for slasher films.
It had already been said previously Screams 7 “will have two main plots, one about Sid and his neighborhood friends, and the second about Taylor, Sid’s teenage daughter (could be a code name) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface.”
Sid and Gale will reportedly face some sort of Ghostface cult.
US magazine also confirmed that Courteney Cox will reprise her role as Gale Weathers. The actress said: “I’m the longest serving Scream queen, so I guess I can’t stop now.”
Previous reports also stated that this film will be at least partially set in a new city and will be developed as the first installment of a new trilogy.
Scream maker Kevin Williamson is directing the film and Screams 7 will be released in theaters on February 27, 2026.
