During the Star Trek Universe panel at New York Comic-Con, a new preview was shared Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3.
In the clip, the intense sequence picks up where Season 2 left off as Captain Pike continues to confront the Gorn.
During the New York Comic-Con panel, that actor was also announced Rhys Darby From Jumanji: The Next Level AND Our flag means death will appear as a guest star during the third season. Henry Alonso Myers, co-showrunner of Strange new worlds, said Darby will play “a character that will be familiar but completely new to people who know Star Trek.”
Alonso said: “If you know Star Trek, you will have a lot of fun with him, and we had more fun than I could imagine with him.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is set aboard the USS Enterprise during the years when Captain Christopher Pike commanded the legendary starship. The series follows Captain Pike, science officer Spock, Number One and the rest of the USS Enterprise crew in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the starship, as they explore new worlds in the galaxy.
The series is also the protagonist Mount Anson as Captain Christopher Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One (Rebecca Romijn), Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lieutenant Erica Ortegas, and Babs Olusanmokun in the role of Doctor M’Benga.
It was also previously revealed that the upcoming season will feature “a Hollywood murder mystery [episode] rooted Star Trek reality.”
