Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Kyle Gallon (Strange treasure), actress (The closest) AND Mr. Jon Gries (The White Lotus) will star in an upcoming romantic crime thriller titled Carolina Carolina.
The film tells the story of “a young woman (Weaving) who leaves her small town in search of her estranged mother (Sedgwick), along with a charismatic con man (Gallner) on the run from the law. The two leave behind a trail of crime and passion as they make their way across the Southeast.”
The film was written by Tom Dean and directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier (Dinner in America) and filming is currently underway in Kentucky.
Rehmeier said in a statement: “Samara and Kyle are delivering truly electric and nuanced performances that are at once emotional, romantic, comedic and touching.
“It was inspiring to work with them, Kyra Sedgwick and Jon Gries, as well as my regular team of artists and the entire incredible team on this project.”
Rehmeier recently directed the comedy Snack Shack, which is a fantastic film and one of my favorites of the year. So, I can’t wait to see how his next project turns out.
The cast of this film is very good and if you like stories like Bonnie and Clyde, then it is worth seeing when it comes out.
