Not long after it was announced that Disney was canceling Lucasfilm Star Wars: The AcolyteFans have noticed that Disney has also removed all merchandise from the series from its online store.
If you check the product page right now, it is empty. The other Star Wars Items from various lines and series, including those sold out, are still available for purchase.
The big question this raises is: will Disney remove The Acolyte from Disney+ after? Remember, they did the same thing with Willow after its first season aired and it was cancelled. They completely erased it from existence.
Now, there is no indication that The Acolyte will be removed from the streaming service, but fans on Reddit are voicing their concerns that it could become “lost media.”
We just have to wait and see how it ends, but with Star Wars being such a huge franchise, I’d be surprised if they actually took it off Disney+. But who knows, Disney might want to take that tax break anyway.
At this time, no cast or crew members of The Acolyte addressed the issue of the show’s cancellation, but fans had previously campaigned to continue the series with #RenewTheAcolyte, which however fell on deaf ears.
The next one Star Wars the show that will be released is Skeleton Crew hero Judas Lawand that series is coming out on Disney+ in December. One of the best, Assoka The second season is in the works and The Mandalorian and Grogu will be next Star Wars film released on May 22, 2026.
