Here’s a trailer for an independent sci-fi film titled Meanwhile on Eartha mystery thriller centered on an astronaut who disappears during his first mission.
In the film, “Siblings Elsa and Franck have always been very close. When Franck mysteriously disappeared during a space mission three years ago, everything changed for Elsa.
“Since then, the 23-year-old has struggled to move on with her life. One day, she is contacted by an unidentified life form who offers to bring her brother back to Earth. But there is a price to pay…”
The synopsis continues: “Elsa, along with her family, is dealing with the disappearance of her brother Franck, an astronaut who disappeared during his first mission.
One night, while stargazing, Elsa is shocked to receive a contact from Franck, but her joy is short-lived when she discovers the dark and disturbing forces behind Franck’s reappearance, forcing her to confront the limits to which she is willing to go for the brother she once feared was gone forever.
The film is by French director Jérémy Clapin and the cast includes Megan Northam like Elsa, with Catherine Salee, My Friend Sam Louwyck, Roman Williams, Sophia Lesaffre.
Meanwhile on Earth will be released in select U.S. theaters on September 13, 2024.
